It's Amazing!
Earlier today, I was working on my black and white shooting techniques and convinced Chuck that he should be my model. After about 20 shots of him frowning at me, I finally started to get some I could work with. As I was editing in Photoshop, I noticed that the picture I had chosen reminded me another one I had seen recently. All of a sudden it dawned on me that the picture it reminded me of was one I see everyday in my bedroom - it is a picture of my husband's father! And just as quickly as I realized who he reminded me of, I knew I had to do something to bring these two photos together. This is dedicated to Grandma Pat. We love you!

Dog Days of Summer
Fires are raging all around us this week. It's been smokey and difficult to breathe outside. Not much to do but sit at the computer and work/play. My friend, C, has me interested in scrapbooking and making handmade greeting cards. I was over at her house today making a scrapbook page and got to thinking that I prefer digital scrapbooking to the paper and paste version. I found a great website with free resources and tutorials - Free Digital Scrapbooking

I Was Bored!

Ok, so here's what happens when a Photoshop lover gets bored. I was trying out some natural light photography the other day. I followed the Boy Wonder around the backyard while he was talking to his friend on the phone, trying to get him to move into the right lighting and adjust my camera settings at the same time. He usually doesn't like me taking pictures of him, but I was determined, so what could he do? I got back inside just as the sun was coming in our living room window. I thought it looked kind of cool through the shade screens, and since I had the camera in my hands already, I snapped a picture. That's background of this little project. What do you think? Does it look boy-ish?
