C's Big 5-0!

This is my friend, C's 50th birthday party. We all had a great time and the food was super good. And her husband put on a multimedia extravaganza with pictures from childhood to the present. And her birthday cake - yummy! It was the best cake ever. Rich and buttery with creamy, luscious frosting on top. And the best part? You can experience the yummy, goodness yourself! Nothing Bundt Cakes ships nationwide. So, for your next 50th birthday party (or any other special occassion), order one for you and your guests. They will thank you!

(Oh, and the cat's name is Tom. He was watching the slide show in a front row seat! Can't tell you if he liked it or not, as he walked away without a word!)

Swinging and Shredding

The Barker does not like to play with Mighty Mouse. In fact, the Barker doesn't like to play very much at all. So moments like these are few and far between. Given the choice, Mighty Mouse will always choose to play with Underdog - but in this instance, Underdog was busy shredding a towel and didn't want to play. Seizing the opportunity, Mighty Mouse grabbed a hold of the rope toy and went for a ride. It didn't last long, but when it was over, both parties were satisfied. Amazing how much joy can come from a bit of chewed up rope and a buddy to share it with.

Speaking of buddies, after the rope swinging incident, Mighty Mouse decided to go and just hang with his buddy, Underdog while he did his shredding. That's the way things are sometimes - when your friend is busy, you just gotta hang around and wait till the shredding is done.

Back in the School Mode

This summer was so crazy, what with the fires and vacation trips, that school sneaked up on me before I knew it. Now Superman, the Boy Wonder, and Chuck Norris are all in school again and I get 3 days a week in the morning all to myself. Well, not exactly all to my self because the Barker, Underdog, and Mighty Mouse still pester me to let them in and out. And what is that all about anyway?! They go out, then 2 seconds later, one of them wants back in. Then they want out. Then they want in. I'm tempted to put a doggie door in the back door in the laundry room, but I'm afraid the Barker would be stuck and then where would we be. He is still such a "fluffy" boy.

Anyway, back on subject - Superman has classes Wednesday nights and a revolving class one other week night. This is his 3rd semester of 6, so in December we will be half-way there. The Boy Wonder is taking all is classes at the community college this semester. He just got home and crashed in the recliner. Too many late nights and early morning wakeups and he is not used to the schedule yet. Chuck N. is a freshman at a charter school. This is a change for us, him being homeschooled his whole life, but a good change. I am impressed with the teachers and the organization of the school. So far, so good.

Where in the World is WinderWoman???

Did you wonder where I was? It's been a while since I posted last and it's because I've been gone and very busy. My mom and I went to Utah for the BYU Family History and Genealogy Conference. Most every year, we travel to Salt Lake City to use the gigantic genealogy library located there. This year, we decided that we needed a boost and some further education, so we went back to school.

I didn't take my camera (I know, you are shocked!), so no new pictures. However, I will put in a plug about doing your own family history. It is so much fun and a little addictive. If you haven't tried it, you are missing out! Don't know how to get started? Here's a little help to get you going.
