Watch Out for Flaming Arrows!

This past week I took a trip to Portland with my mom to pickup a new puppy. When we stopped at Harry & David's in Medford, I happened to mention something to my mom about her new baby. The lady that was waiting on us gave Mom a strange look, so we had to quickly explain that it was a dog, not a real baby.

The trip there and back was smooth and uneventful, but while we were in Portland, we were attacked by indians (native american, not the other kind) and a flaming arrow hit our tire and punctured it. We managed to get away, but by the time we caught up with the wagon train, our tire was flat. Thank goodness for the Cavalry! The next morning we spent an hour and a half in the tire shop waiting for new tires. Now that's an exciting place!

Here is a picture of our newest edition to the extended family. I guess that would make her my sister. She would be the cute one!

  1. Sounds like a mighty eventful time for you, ma'am. I am glad you were able to endure and return to your cabin.
